Our Vision and Values School Councillors 2025-26

This year, children had to submit applications to become a councillor and ‘pitch their project’ that they would like to run throughout school if they were successful in their application. We can’t wait to get started putting their projects into action!

This year the councillors are developing our upcoming 'Prayer Garden' and also supporting the implementation of our new school 'Pantry' which will be accessible for all of our families.

What is the role of the ‘Vision and Values School Council’?

This year, the role of the ‘Vision and Values Councillors’ is to promote our ‘Vision and Values’ in all that they do and support their peers to do the same. They will have the opportunity to take leadership of collective worship, prayers, assemblies, whole school projects and experience the ‘Leaders of tomorrow’ training at the Queen Elizabeth Hall during the year. We want our councillors to be at the very heart of St Hilda’s and for them to have a strong influence on what they believe to be best for our school, our community and our futures.

Owl Class: Voting for our Vision and Values Councillor - November 2025

Owls class held a democratic vote to select the member of class that they wished to represent us as a 'Vision and Values' Councillor. The voting was so close and we had to do a secondary vote to decide the overall winner as originally we had a 'tie'! Congratulations to our new Vision and Values Councillor - we are sure you will be amazing!

Year 4: Voting for our Visions and Values Councillor - November 2025

The children in Birch class voted for their school councillor. The children understood more about the British value democracy and why voting is important.
